KOLBEX is a pre-fabricated structure which can be easily assembled when needed. KOLBEX is readily installed and transported, and thus it can be considered as an alternative to other pre- fabricated structures. KOLBEX is designed and engineered by Takhte-Jamshid research and development unit consisting of Ph.D. and M.Sc Graduates from Tehran's prestigious universities. KOLBEX is made of aluminum, a very durable and lightweight metal, enabling to provide a 10-year warranty for its inexhaustibility. Since aluminum is moldable and colorable, KOLBEX is available in diverse designs, colors, shapes, and dimensions for different applications. Due to the above mentioned features (i.e. lightness, high transportability, and durability), use of KOLBEX under critical conditions is not an option but a necessity.KOLBEX is essentially designed to confront crisis such that displaced populations could be readily settled during a crisis. Speaking of crisis, taking timely and quick measures turns into a significant issue. Taking quick measures is accessible through easy storage, transportation, and installation of KOLBEX. Establishment of suitable infrastructure is a significant requirement for crisis management. Given its quick installation capabilities, KOLBEX can greatly help to achieve this goal by providing suitable spaces around cities based on the population of the region.
Today, one of the most dynamic and modern economic activities in the world is tourism industry, which can play an important role in the sustainable development of a country. This industry requires the use of various domestic and foreign resources to achieve social, economic, environmental, and cultural benefits. The diverse climatic and geographic conditions in Iran is highly conductive to the development tourism industry. On the other hand, residential and welfare units (e.g. campsites for temporary accommodation of tourists) are one of the most important factors that contribute to maximal utilization of geographic capacities that lead to the development of this industry in the country. KOLBEX can be implemented as a congenial temporary accommodation for tourists in different geographic locations as it could be quickly set up.In addition to the cases mentioned above, KOLBEX can be exploited for other applications. Structural modularity of KOBEX allows for exclusive design modification based on the desired application(s). A number of KOLBEX applications are presented in the following chart. Nevertheless, it is important to note that other applications could also be defined for KOLBEX depending on the intended use.
